Michael studied BA (Hons) Music Production at Leeds College of Music and is a versatile composer, music producer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist who has built a significant portfolio of work across a range of musical styles for various media. Michael prides himself on attention to detail while creating fresh, exciting and emotional soundtracks unique to each project to enhance the experience for the intended audience. A defining characteristic of Michael’s work is his ability to create unique, powerful and moving pieces of music tailored to accompany personal memories including newborn photography slideshows and wedding videos alongside music used for relaxation, meditation and mindfulness.

Commercially Michael has worked with several filmmakers including Seb Montaz-Rosset and Christophe Margot and moving image credits include Red Bull Media House, Salomon Sports, Mavic, Lange, Scott and Montagne TV while collaborations in theatre and dance have been performed at prestigious venues including the Science Museum IMAX Theatre (London), Brewery Arts Centre (Kendal), The Lowry (Manchester) and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Shoreditch Town Hall (London).

Michael Denny Solo - Michael releases challenging instrumental solo records which explore a number of themes and imagery influenced by a range of song titles and contexts collected from news articles, journals, films, books and TV.
Meds - A raw indie rock 3 piece band featuring a classic line of of drums, bass and guitar fronted by Lauren Davey. The band are regularly featured on BBC Introducing and are releasing a series of EPs throughout 2017.
Salen Ghost Ships - A collaboration with my brother Simon Denny, alternative instrumental rock recorded using live instruments.
The English Language - A forthcoming collaboration with a range of different popular music vocalists.
Brett Domino Trio - Michael was a founding member of the trio and performed on numerous national media including ITV’s Britains Got Talent and BBC Radio One.
Tokyo Lost - Three piece indie pop-rock band also featuring Tom Hunt and Simon Denny. The band have had exposure on BBC introducing for whom they performed a live radio session.
Cross The Sea - Live guitar duo specialising in acoustic interpretations of classic pop and indie hits.
Tokyo Tokyo - Remix alias with previous remixes undertaken for the likes of Chapel Club, Two Door Cinema club, Florrie and Hard-Fi.
Wildlife Cartel - A four piece alternative rock band also featuring Simon Denny and Ben Checkley (Big Green Blue) and Stephen Mildwater (The Feud).
Becquerel - Becquerel is a side project which so far consists of 2 drastically reworked indie covers in a minimalistic style.
